The case was officially handled by the local inspector but the niece of the deceased, Flora Ackroyd, hired Hercule Poirot who recently moved to Kings Abbott discretely after retirement. ![]() The story unfolds by the introduction of all the main characters of the town with giving the hints about the forthcoming murder of a wealthy character of the town, Mr Roger Ackroyd. The story is narrated by Dr Sheppard who is a well reputed and friendly doctor in the town. The Case is set in a Small Town of King’s Abbott near Cranchaster, where the whole scene unfolds. ![]() After ‘The Murder on the Orient Express’ was a letdown, This novel gave me the Jaw dropping ending I yearned for. About The Book – Acclaimed as the best work of Agatha Christie, this case of Hercule Poirot was indeed the best Detective Novel I’ve read. ![]()
